I have gathered the results from the questionnaire, for the presentation and presented the data on graphs. Based on the results, I would say the research process has been a success. Most of the poses I had Flint perform on screen were easy for the audience to understand. From the feedback, there were 1 or 2 poses that were difficult to understand, but a large majority of the participants did understand.
Many of the audience members did give feedback claiming they found the animation of 'Rocket Bear' very enjoyable, however they found the sudden appearance of Niamh at the end, shocking Flint with the toaster to be a bit random. If I had the time to animate the first part of the animation, I think it would have been much easier for the full story to come across. Even without the first part featured, they still found it enjoyable.
If I was to redo my research, I would animated the piece with facial features, as well as without for the purpose of the questionnaire.
The second thing I would do is think of the research question a bit more at the start. I found myself changing my mind quite a bit when thinking of where to go with the research focusing more on character design. I am very happy with what I have produced and found the development interesting to not focus on speech or facial expressions when conveying how a character is feeling/thinking. I just wish I could have more time to complete the rest of the animation of 'Rocket Bear'.
