With my WiP presentation complete, I received feedback that the question was still a little too vague. The idea of researching what makes a character appealing requires research into numerous factors that I did not have the time to look into within the final semester.
I started to rig the Flint character model as I thought more about my research topic. I wasn't use to making my own rigged characters, so there was a bit of learning involved when applying the weight painting. I found myself struggling at first, with the bones not moving the body how I wanted at first.
When playing around with rigging and the grease pencil, I came up with a new research looking expressing thoughts and emotions through body language.
