This week I started working on the details of the ships deck, creating models that make it more of a ship. Aspects did take longer than I expected, but most of the main deck is completed. I had to redo the wall for the doorway of the stern by making it a separate model to the deck, so that I can copy and paste it for the bow of the ship. I also had made a mistake at first making the doorway itself, however I did get it sorted quickly by adding a few cuts to the model.

The rat lines going up the main mast took longer than expected, if I had more time I'd bend the meshes a bit to make them feel more like rope. The sails were much easier than expects, with just using planes and then using proportional editing the give them a bend.

Modelling the helm wasn't too bad, but still a little tedious with making it with a cylinder.

Some of the railings rungs will be replaced after I add the material, however it is a good way to map out where they will go. Same for the steps on the stairs and ladder.
